Every stone at Vai Ra is independently certified before it is set. Lab grown diamonds are IGI certified — the global standard for lab diamond grading. Moissanite stones are SGL certified. All certification documents are included with your order.

Verify your certificate

You can verify the authenticity of your certificate directly on the grading laboratory's website using the unique certificate number included with your order:

If you are unsure which lab certified your stone, check the physical certificate included with your jewellery — the issuing lab's name and logo appear at the top of the document.

What your certificate covers

Your Vai Ra certification document includes the stone's graded colour (DEF), clarity (VVS), carat weight, cut, and a unique identification number. IGI certificates additionally confirm the stone's lab-created origin. All documentation is issued directly by the certifying lab.

A note on GRA certificates

Vai Ra does not issue GRA (Gemological Research Association) certificates. This is worth understanding if you are comparing jewellery options.

GRA certificates visually resemble GIA certificates — same format, similar layout. However, GRA and GIA are not affiliated. GIA (Gemological Institute of America) is the global authority on diamond grading and does not certify moissanite. GRA is a separate organisation primarily associated with moissanite sourced from Chinese manufacturers. A GRA certificate is not equivalent to a GIA certificate and should not be treated as one.

Vai Ra moissanite is not sourced from China or Southeast Asia, and is not sourced through Charles & Colvard or Harro Gems. Every Vai Ra stone is certified through IGI or SGL — two of India's most widely recognised grading laboratories.
